Charlotte B. Jacobsen Fund
Date Established: 1975

This fund was initiated by William and Joan Green and their sons, William S. Green and Richard S. Green, and their daughter, Nancy E. Green. The Fund was designated to support the purchase of books for the study of women. Mrs. Jacobsen was the grandmother of William Scott Green, Dean of the College of the University of Rochester. "My family has had a long-standing commitment and association to the University of Rochester and to the education of women. We continue to believe and support the importance of these ideals." This was a bequest by Charles W. Joyce, the income to be used for the purchase of "books in the field of children's literature or in other categories deemed desirable by the College of Education and the library."
